17 second movie haiku
create and share a mini-masterpiece
YouTube Channel
The Kineku YouTube Channel is the home of original Kineku 17 second haiku movies. It is an open content library in which anyone can view, like, follow or share Kineku movies from around the world.
But it is more than that.
Because Kineku is a process as well as a product, the Kineku Movie Library will aslo include ‘how to’ movies and links to content which will help aspiring Kineku creators to achieve their ambitions.
Social Media
As well as showing Kineku we want to encourage as many people as possible to make their own. So, we will also be sharing hints tips and news on how to make Kineku, use your movie-making equipment and share stories of how you made your 17 second masterpiece.
Authorised playlist. It's official.
All Kineku added to the Kineku YouTube Channel Playlist will be authorised as conforming to the 17sec structure.
Anyone can submit their work for inclusion in the Kineku Movie Playlist. Videos must simply be copyright cleared and conform to the 17sec duration required of all Kineku.
Once selected for the playlist a video will automatically be officially recognised as a certified Kineku movie.
Hints, tips and instruction videos
Because Kineku is an open project for anyone to participate in, the Kineku YouTube Channel and Instagram will host ‘how to’ videos and ‘hints and tips’ to help new Kinekumakers get started, or take your skills to the next level.
Send us links to videos you’ve found helpful in improving the way you shoot content and we’ll add them to our ‘how to’ playlists. Or, share your own hints and tips to inspire others. Send selfies or a ‘call-out’ from your filming location and help to build an engaged and inclusive community of makers.
You don’t need exotic resources to make Kineku, but because of all the glossy and expensive media that surrounds us, the process of getting started on anything creative can still feel a bit daunting.
The hints tips resources will aim to help you make those first steps and give you ideas to take your skills to the next level and help you answer the Kineku challenge – how to get my idea into 17 seconds?
